On the morning of their departure from Florence, we went souvenir shopping and visited a few supermarkets to pick up the things they had forgotten to buy.
My friend and her family also wanted to visit Santa Maria Novella Pharmacy. However, the original pharmacy is often very busy, with long queues of visitors.
Since they mainly wanted to do some shopping, we went to the branch on Via de’ Tornabuoni instead.
If you have time, I would still recommend visiting the original pharmacy for its historic atmosphere. But if you simply want to shop, the Tornabuoni branch is often less crowded and can be a convenient alternative.

If you are looking for Italian souvenirs in Florence, food shopping is also a lot of fun.
For Italian food products and snacks, I recommend the Conad supermarket near Ponte Vecchio.
For high-quality ingredients and unusual Italian products that you may not easily find in Japan, Pegna and the Central Market are also worth visiting.
After finishing our shopping, we stopped at a café to relax before it was time to catch the train.

It was a lovely way to spend the last moments of their trip before saying goodbye to Florence.
